About the band
Alvin Jett & Phat noiZ
Twenty-plus years of hard-driving St. Louis blues, from the East Side to Beale Street.
Alvin Jett
A native of East St. Louis, Alvin Jett has been entertaining audiences throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area for over twenty years. Although Alvin came from a musical family, he didn't seriously start playing guitar until he was 20 years old. Alvin quickly learned the rudiments, but got his formal blues education playing with Tommy Bankhead & the Blues Eldorados.
Over the years, Alvin has honed his skills into his own fiery brand of hard-driving St. Louis blues. He has performed at the St. Louis Blues & Heritage Festival, Big Muddy Blues Festival, Blues on the Mississippi Concert Series, St. Louis Blues Cruise, Sparta Blues Festival, Decatur Blues & Brews Festival and the Quincy Blues in the District Concert Series. Alvin has also been part of the Guitar Masters Concerts put on by the St. Louis Blues Society, and has made guest appearances on the Smash Show on KLOU 103.3, KSHE 95, KDHX 88.1 and Fox 2 morning news.
