ALVIN
JETT & PHAT NOIZ
A
native of East St. Louis, Alvin Jett has been entertaining
for audiences throughout the St. Louis metropolitan
area for over twenty years. Although Alvin came from
a musical family, he didn't seriously start playing
guitar until he was 20 years old. Alvin quickly learned
the rudiments, but got his formal blues education
playing with Tommy Bankhead & the Blues Eldorados.
Over the years, Alvin has honed his skills into his
own fiery brand of hard driving St. Louis blues. Alvin
performed at the St. Louis Blues & Heritage Festival,
Big Muddy Blues Festival, Blues on the Mississippi
Concert Series, St. Louis Blues Cruise, Sparta Blues
Festival, Decatur Blues & Brews Festival, and
the Quincy Blues in the District Concert Series. Alvin
has also been a part of the Guitar Masters Concerts
put on by the St. Louis Blues Society, and has made
guest appearances on the Smash Show on KLOU 103.3,
KSHE 95, KDHX 88.1, and Fox 2 morning news.
The
Phat noiZ Blues Band is Alvin Jett's means for delivering
to the audience his brand of in-your-face, hard driving
blues. The band performs it's own unique style of
original music and blues, R&B and rock standards
that are designed to get the blood pumping and the
body moving.
Currently operating as a four-piece, the Phat noiZ
Blues Band consists of Alvin Jett on guitar, Frank
Bauer on saxophone, Jeremy West on drums and Matt
Davis on bass.
The band has performed at most of the top venues in
St. Louis, such as BB's Jazz, Blues & Soups, Broadway
Oyster Bar, Beale On Broadway, Mike & Min's, Hammerstone's,
Fast Eddie's Bon Aire, CJ Mugg's, Squire's, Mount
Pleasant Winery, Crown Valley Winery, Robller Vineyard,
the Voodoo Lounge at Harrah's Casino, Jacque's, and
as well as weddings, corporate parties and private
affairs.
